Children’s Right to Participate: The Lundy Model Applied to Early Childhood Education and Care

Abstract Children have the right to express their views in all matters affecting them, and them considered given due weight. Children’s participation is most meaningful when rooted children’s everyday lives, its promotion should be encouraged from youngest ages, especially early childhood education care ( ecec ). In this paper we apply Lundy model of participation, widely used policy, practice professional development initiatives, context. Based on examples provided by professionals Belgium, Greece, Poland, Portugal, illustrate implementation elements space, voice, audience influence, proposed model. We also discuss interrelations among these need for organisational contextual support enhance participation. This adds existing literature, highlighting theoretical practical issues associated with participate .
